Genetically Modified Foods Are Unsafe
We need to get the word out even more about this. In the UK they effectively banned GMO foods, we need to do the same thing here in the United States. This video is of Jeffrey Smith (Institute of Responsible Technology), leading consumer advocate for non GMO foods.
Since 1996 Americans have been eating genetically modified foods in processed foods. We don’t even have genetically modified foods labelled here in the U.S. This is really wrong!

In 1992, the Food and Drug Administration claimed they had no information showing that GM foods were substantially different from conventionally grown foods. Therefore they were safe to eat, and absolutely no safety studies were required. But internal memos made public by a lawsuit reveal that their position was staged by political appointees who were under orders from the White House to promote GMOs. In addition, the FDA official in charge of creating this policy was Michael Taylor, the former attorney for Monsanto, the largest biotech company, and later their vice president.
It is estimated that over 70 percent of the foods in grocery stores in the U.S. and Canada contain genetically engineered ingredients.

UK/Dr. Arpad Pusztai is one of the worlds top expert Biologists. He accidentally discovered in 1999 the dangers of Genetically Modified foods. He published his information in one of the leading medical journals in the UK, the Lancet. The Lancet: Dr. Arpad Pusztai Paper He found that when genetically modified food was fed to rats it caused them to develop cancerous tumors. All the soybeans in the U.S. are genetically modified if not labeled Organic!

There are laws on the books now that state Organic Tofu cannot be genetically modified. Back in the early 1990s you could still find tofu that had a label on it saying it was non-GMO. Now the only safeguard is to go Organic.
