Screen shot 2013-04-09 at 11.05.51 AMDespite the unprecedented and historic nature of Army whistleblower Bradley Manning’s trial, journalists have thus far been banned from recording the proceedings. Because Americans more commonly get their news through television than from any other media source, this presents a major barrier to the American public staying informed on a trial that will profoundly affect the future of our country.

Sign this petition demanding that he ensure journalists can record Bradley Manning’s court martial proceedings!

Solidarity vigil for Bradley on Wednesday, April 10th, 7:30 am to 9:00 am in front of the Fort Meade Main Gate at Reece Road and US 175 (map).

Bradley Manning is back in court this week for a pre-trial hearing that will determine how much of the trial will be open to the public, or closed because of classified evidence.

A vigil will be held prior to the hearing on April 10th, and we encourage supporters to come with signs advocating for better media access to the trial. http://www.bradleymanning.org/news/attending-bradleys-hearings
