The California State Department of Conservation workshop to discuss fracking in the Baldwin Hills Oil Field.
“These workshops are to be conducted as part of a comprehensive information gathering process aimed at the development of regulations governing hydraulic fracturing … These workshops are intended as an information gathering exercise to advise the Department about specific public concerns regulations could address.”
This is the only statewide fracking workshop being held in the Los Angeles area.
• Fracking can damage homes and buildings
• Fracking has been shown to increase earthquakes
• Fracking can add large amounts of toxic water at enormous pressure under the area
• Fracking creates toxic waste water that has to be stored nearby
• Fracking is bad for your health and the environment
