Keystone Pipeline Rears It’s Head Again —Take Action Today

Posted on February 13, 2012

The proposed Keystone XL pipeline would transport raw, toxic tar sands oil right through the American heartland — from Alberta, Canada to refineries in Texas — and threatens to wreak environmental havoc on both sides of the border.

It’s not over yet. President Obama rejected a permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline, but Big Oil is still trying to get it pushed through.

In the next 24 hours, the Senate is considering ways to resurrect the Keystone XL Pipeline by adding it to a Transportation Bill.
Already the House has passed a bill in committee that would force approval of the pipeline in 30 days.

We’ve got to stop our dependence on oil and look to clean alternatives.  WE can do better. If we would only focus on alternatives such as Solar, Wind, Geothermal and even “free energy” we would find all the energy we need is close at hand. Now is the time to facilitate this switch in consciousness. Take action to support going down a different road.
