They just started using a reprocessing device for the radioactive water, but had to shut down the system when the radioactive levels were too high. They are hoping to get it back online by next week. If it isn’t the water could over flow and leak into the ocean. People still don’t trust what Tepco is saying. There is 100,000 tons of radioactive water. It was originally used to cool the reactors = 40 olympic size swimming pools of contaminated water.
They are hoping to recycle the water and keep using it to cool the reactors. They said that they would have the reactor completely shut down by Jan 2012.
