Vote to RE-EVALUATE THE PATRIOT ACT in the house today!

The Patriot Act goes up for vote today in the House to PERMANENTLY EXTEND it.

It needs to be “reassessed” not just steamrolled in with yet more constitutional rights squashed. There are Republicans and Democrats questioning it. What the Patriot Act does and how it effects everyday American lives needs to be evaluated in community forums around the country. The public needs to better understand what it is. I don’t think it has been properly represented and clarified for people.
It needs to be. Many of the elements of the Patriot Act either are an outright slap down to our constitutional rights and/or just mean enough to squash the human spirit. Considering “Big Business” is now our “government” — we need to demand a reevaluation immediately.

The Patriot Act (The USA Patriot Act) does not have adequate checks and balances bottom line.
