S.510/HR.2751 Update

Posted on December 21, 2010

Senate passed S510 this month, then the House “tacked” the bill onto the “must pass” CONTINUING RESOLUTION that is needed to continue Government Programs. Then the Senate attempted to ad S510 food bureaucracy to the Omnibus Funding Bill. —From http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/568/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=5395

This is the letter I sent to my Representatives:

I oppose including the fake “food safety” bill, S.510/HR.2751 or any of its language in any Bill before Congress.

I want the Congress to find ways and means to really protect our local and natural food production and distribution. This is essential as gas prices go up and corporate farming is showing to be unhealthy. People must have local resources for food.

Please work to protect our natural health remedies from Federal FDA control and support local agriculture so our children can have “real” food to eat. We cannot trust big business to deliver, nor can we trust big government (which in many cases seems to be the same thing).

Health and Food Freedom for food safety is an important issue to me. The proper protections for small family farms and individuals growing their own food were not included in this bill. This is absolutely necessary to protect our Freedom to a higher degree, also our health.

This is very important to myself and to many millions of Americans. Thank you for your efforts!
